Class 9. Thursday 12/03

Hello

Today we revised our Past Simple tense with the verb "to be":

Where was David at 6 a.m? - He was in his bed.
Where was he at 16 o´clock? - He was in the swimming pool.
Where were you yesterday? - I was in the park yetserday.

We also talked about the weather in the world yesterday:

What was the weather like in London yesterday? - It was sunny.
What was the weather like in Rio yesterday? - It was windy etc.

Look at the map and describe the weather yesterday!

In New York it was coudy yesterday etc.

We also continued with our project.

Day 4. Voting for the best ideas to solve our porblem and working out a step-by-step action plan.

• We decided that we could buy a pack of plastic bags and as an campaign for our project give those bags to people who are walking with dogs! Good idea! 
• We could get money from our Flea Market or organise one more paid activity.
• Also we started to design small notes we´re going to give to each pet owner with the information - convincing pet owners to clean after their pets! Perfect!

Information! Last class before vacations (26/03) we´re organising a Flea Market. Bring things you´d like to sell (second hand things, cooked food, hand-made decorations etc.) The money we´ll raise will go to the charity organisation. Everybody is invited (parents, friends, students etc.)

Hello

Today we practised our new grammar - Past Simple (the verb "to be"):

I was at the cinema yesterday? My mother was at home in the evening.
My friends were very happy etc.

We learnt some time expressions for our past tense (yesterday, last week (Saturday, winter, weekend), on Sunday evening, in 1998 etc.):

Where were you yesterday morning? - I was at home.



We played a Guessing Game and got some points for Olympic Games:

Player 1 - 2 points
Player 2 - 3 points
Player 3 - 6 points
Player 4 - 6 points

Today we continued our work on the project.
Day 3 - Brainstorm the ideas

Also we made a new step of our project. We had to brainstorm the ideas of how to resolve the problem we focused on:

We got many ideas for our problem. 

Think at home, maybe you´ll get some ideas.

Next class we´re going to decide on our strategy and actions!

Also this week we start an adventure with our Dragon. We´re going to "travel" with the Dragon and then tell some interesting things about different countries or cities:

Choose a country where our Dragon travelled and prepare a presentation:

1. Country
2. Capital
3. Famous places and monuments
4. Typical food
5. Language
6. Other interesting traditions

Bring photos, pictures, videos with the places. Make it interesting!

This week Jimena is "travelling" to another country with the Dragon!

Hello

Today we revised some vocabulary on our topic "Weather". We checked our extra tasks and got some points:

Also we listened to people talking about the weather:
Today in the morning it was sunny, but now it is rainy.

We learnt Past Simple of the verb "to be":

Also we made a new step of our project. We had to finish our clouds and choose two porblems that are the most important for us. Finally, we chose the problem - "The excrements of the dogs in the street".

Next week we´ll brainstrom the ideas of how to solve it.
