Class 9. Thursday 20/11
Hello
Today we learnt some new grammar structures : HAVE TO/DON´T HAVE TO. We use them to say what is obligatory to do or not at school.
Mandy is at new school:
I have to take a bus.
I have to get up early.
I have to have lunch in the canteen.
BUT:
I don´t have to wear a uniform.
I don´t have to clean my classroom.

Do you know what "Homeschooling" is? Find the information in the internet.

When you study at home, what do you have to do and what not?
Example: When you study at home you don´t have to get up early.

Write more sentences about it.

Class 8. Thursday 13/11

Our blog competition started the previous week. So, publish your stories with the Dragon in the blog. Also don´t forget to vote for the stories of others - look at your blog and the one from
C5 Monday, C5 Wednesday and C5 Friday, there´re also stories where you can vote!
Also we continued talking about school and school subjects. We checked your homework where you had to write about your school day.
We listened to a girl talking about her school time-table. We revised the time expressions of frequency: once/twice a week, three times a week, every day etc.
Finally, we had our Olympic Games and got the following points:
Player 1 - 8 points
Player 2 - 3 points
Player 3 - 5 points
Your homework is to watch a video where different students are talking about their favourite subjects and write down - what subjects they like and why.
And one more video - "What´s your typical school day" (a bit difficult) - write down what subjects she has got.

Class 7. Thursday 06/11
Hello!
This week we´ve got some news!
We´re organising a blog competition "My Week with the Dragon". You´ll have to post your stories about your week with the Dragon here in the blog. Write a story, post photos and put any interesting links in the Internet. The rest of the class has to vote for the story in the comments of the blog below, you can give your points from 1 to 10 for the story you like. The story that gets the most points in the end of the trimestre - wins a surprise!
All right, so lots of plans! Today we´ve revised the vocabulary from our new topic - school subjects and what we study:
We study the science of numbers and shapes - Maths.
We study the events from the past - History.
We study the parts of living things - Biology etc.
We had our Olympic Games and got the following points:
Player 1 - 14 points
Player 2 - 5 points
Player 3 - 11 points
We also watched a short video about a school day in Britain and we found out a lot of interesting things about a Lollipop Lady, school subjects, school day, canteen etc.

Class 6. Thursday 30/10
Hello!
Today we had an unusual class - Halloween Class where you were teachers yourselves! It was super!
You prepared lots of funny Halloween activities!

Class 5. Thursday 23/10
Hello! How´re you?
We´ve listened to Sandra´s project about your favourite sports and hobbies. Good job!
Boys, Marco and Miguel, you have the chance to prepare the projects for the next class. In your notebooks you´ve got a plan to follow.
So, in our Olympic Games for the projects only Sandra this time got 10 points.
You have also the chance to get extra points writing in the blog your comments.
We watched a short video about popular sports in Britain.
What sports are popular in Britain? What unusual sports do British play?

What´s your favourite subject at school? Why do you like it?
Next class 30th we have a Halloween class. But it´s an unusual class - Flipped Class. It means that you will teach younger children different activities in English. We dedicate this class to our favourite holiday - Halloween! Your task is to prepare an activity you´ll teach other children in English, related to Halloween topic.
Unfortunately, Jimena wasn´t present at the class and did tell about our Dragon´s week. Next Thursday then.
Your homework is to prepare a project and a Halloween activity!

Class 4. Thursday 16/10.
Hello!
Today we learnt some useful grammar:
I like/love/hate playing football. (Gerund)
I like/love/hate to play football. (Infinitive) (these sentences mean the same)
BUT:
I´m good at playing the guitar.
I´m bad at speaking French. (after these phrases - Gerund ONLY).
We listened to Roberto´s hobbies and sports and interviewed our parnters:
I love playing volleyball, but my partner loves playing football etc.
We also did a very fun sports quiz. You needed some general knowledge and English to answer the quesions. You did it very well. Here´re our Olympic Games results:
Player 1 - 13 points
Player 2 - 9 points
Player 3 - 9 points
Player 4 - 13 points
Well done!

Chispa likes to play different sports and games. She also won the competition with Sandra. She usually does homework and goes to bed with Sandra.
Next lucky student is JIMENA. The task is the same - spend a week with a dragon and prepare a project.
(Prepare a project in advance, take photos, draw a picture, write a short story etc.)
Your homework is to prepare a project "My favourite sport or hobby". We´ll vote for the most interesting one.
Our rubric "I´d like to know". Write in your comments some interesting facts about sports or hobbies. The most interesting will get extra points!
Example: There´s a curious sport - Chess boxing or chessboxing. It is a hybrid sport that combines chess with boxing in alternating rounds. The match begins with a chess round which is followed by a boxing round. Rounds of chess and boxing alternate until the end of the match.
